Jaite Company Paper Mill Demolition

Demolition

Beginning in March, 2006, contractors for the National Park Service began demolishing the Jaite Company Mill. Although the Towpath Trail is still open, the entire area surrounding the mill has been closed to foot traffic.

The paper to the left was posted along the fenceline, and below are a few photographs taken at different stages of the demolition work. In January of 2006, WKSU Radio interviewed the park director about the work, an MP3 recording of which is available on their website.
